{"id":416,"date":"2023-06-13T08:50:35","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T08:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.busart.org\/?p=416"},"modified":"2023-12-23T08:16:03","modified_gmt":"2023-12-23T08:16:03","slug":"open-call-ready-steady-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.busart.org\/en\/open-call-ready-steady-go\/","title":{"rendered":"OPEN CALL: Ready Steady Go!"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h3><em><strong>(Deadline for receipt of complete applications: 05\/01\/2024<\/strong>)<\/em><\/h3>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Ready Steady Go!\u00a0is a 10 months learning expedition\/journey welcoming 14 artists and cultural professionals from the Mediterranean.\u00a0It is developed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimettafund.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roberto Cimetta Fund<\/a> in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livingnet.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liv.in.g (IT)<\/a>, Busart (GR), <a href=\"https:\/\/al-badil.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Al Badil (TU)<\/a>, Amuni (FR). Through immersive workshops, online capacity building sessions and international gatherings, Ready Steady Go! aims to support artists and cultural professionals to identify and apply for mobility funding and support schemes and to increase their access to the international scene. Ready Steady Go!\u00a0includes a series of activities to increase participants\u2019\u00a0access to the international scene\u00a0in order to develop their career:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>3 online capacity development sessions<\/li>\r\n<li>a 4 days workshop in Italy<\/li>\r\n<li>a 4 days final meeting in Greece<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Aiming at promoting inclusive mobility, this call for applications is dedicated to artists and cultural professionals interested in developing\u00a0a proper project that includes an international mobility\u00a0within and outside their region, offering a space for debate and practical tools. <strong>The call is open\u00a0until\u00a0January 5 2024<\/strong>, to all the applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria. <strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>The application must be submitted by\u00a0individuals (not by organisations) under 30 years old\u00a0and have a\u00a0good command of English.<\/li>\r\n<li>The call is addressed to\u00a0artists\u00a0(performers, creators, trainers) or\u00a0professionals in the cultural sector\u00a0(organisers, administrators, project managers). The call is open to professionals in independent organisations, as freelancers, or in the public sector.<\/li>\r\n<li>Applicants, regardless of their nationality, must be based in\u00a0Mediterranean countries. It includes\u00a0European countries\u00a0(Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Croatia, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia), and\u00a0North Africa and the Middle East countries\u00a0(Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Syria)<\/li>\r\n<li>Applicants must be based in \u201cremote areas\u201d, that is areas\u00a0that are not well integrated in international circuits.\u00a0For the Ready, Steady, Go! project, \u201cremote areas\u201d refer to:<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>For EU countries:\u00a0islands, rural areas, and cities with less than 80 000 inhabitants<\/li>\r\n<li>In this call,\u00a0all the other countries\u00a0(Balkans, North Africa and Middle East) are defined as \u201cremote areas\u201d.<\/li>\r\n<li>10 participants will be selected from the European countries mentioned above (point 3), and 4 participants will be selected from the North Africa and the Middle East countries mentioned above (point 3.)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ol start=\"5\">\r\n<li>Applicants\u00a0must present an artistic \/ cultural project taking place in their territory on which they will be working during the programme that involves an\u00a0international mobility from\/ to their territory:<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>Their\u00a0mobility project\u00a0could be:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>the preparation of an artistic \/ cultural project (a festival, a co-production, a project that involves an international partnership\u2026);<\/li>\r\n<li>the participation in a research or in a residency;<\/li>\r\n<li>the participation in a meeting with artists or professionals with the objective of networking with cultural, artistic and development actors;<\/li>\r\n<li>an artistic and professional training \/ education project (internships, masterclasses, exchanges, study trips)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Their\u00a0application must\u00a0refer to an artistic discipline or a cultural action:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>management, mediation, cultural policy;<\/li>\r\n<li>contemporary performing arts: theatre, dance, music, circus and street arts, puppet theatre;<\/li>\r\n<li>visual arts, photography, film, digital arts, design;<\/li>\r\n<li>writing, dramaturgy, storytelling, poetry;<\/li>\r\n<li>transdisciplinary projects.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ol start=\"6\">\r\n<li>The application form must be complete.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Priority will be given to\u00a0independent artists\/cultural professionals: those working in independent organisations or as freelancers.<\/li>\r\n<li>The application must clearly present\u00a0the artistic\/cultural project, its\u00a0motivations\u00a0and its expectations<\/li>\r\n<li>The project must contribute\u00a0directly or indirectly to local and Mediterranean cultural development\u00a0from a sustainable perspective. Candidates are invited to develop local initiatives and contribute to\u00a0the cultural life\u00a0of their own region. They must be committed to\u00a0passing on\u00a0what they have learned and\u00a0sharing their networking\u00a0with other artists and professionals around them<\/li>\r\n<li>Participants shall\u00a0be willing to participate actively in the capacity development programme\u00a0and\u00a0exchange with\u00a0their peers. Learner-centred, this programme will foster on participants\u2019 experience and resources as well as on peer-to-peer learning.<\/li>\r\n<li>To ensure gender equality and diversity, Ready Steady Go! encourages applicants regardless gender identity and sexual orientation and the jury will select at least 50% female candidates.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p><strong>WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAMME?<\/strong> All the expenses related to the participation in the programme will be covered:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Participation in the capacity development programme<\/li>\r\n<li>Travel, visa, accommodation (in single or double rooms, hotels or apartments) and meals for the onsite workshops and meetings in Italy and Greece.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATES<\/strong> Selected candidates\u00a0must commit to take part in all the components of the programme\u00a0(3 virtual sessions, a 4 days workshop in Sicily, Italy (around 15-19 April) and a 4 days final meeting in Elefsina, Greece (planned in October, tbc).\u00a0They will also contribute to an in-depth case studies publication addressing mobility in the Mediterranean. <strong>SELECTION PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Applicants must complete the form and submit their\u00a0project proposal, in written form.<\/li>\r\n<li>A\u00a0CV\u00a0(2 pages maximum) must also be added. Applications may be written\u00a0in English<\/li>\r\n<li>More details are specified in the form.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>An information session will be organised on 14th December 2023 at 3pm to present the call and answer your questions. A jury, composed of the partners of the project, will select 14 participants.
