The Festival Readings is an intensive three-day training programme in festival management by The Festival Academy, an initiative of the European Festivals Association. It includes public talks by Tom Creed and Vallejo Gantner, distinguished artistic directors of European festivals, as well as discussions with the participants, open to the public, on festival management and organisation. The Festival Readings are organised within the framework of the Synikismos Festival and centred on the Festival itself, with the aim of creating opportunities to meet the artists and discuss the impact of festivals on their artistic careers as a whole. The Festival Readings is a programme of The Festival Academy created by the European Festivals Association, and it is unique of its kind. The programme has taken place at major international festivals during their run, and this is the first time it is held in Greece.
